I am gathering a collection of personal stories about memorable plants—not necessarily your favorite, but one that holds a special place in your heart, whether for good or bad reasons. This project aims to celebrate the deep connections we form with plants through our lives, creating a shared collection of horticultural memories.

This is meant to be a fun and meaningful way to reflect on the plants that have shaped our experiences. I would love for you to participate, and please feel free to share this with friends—whether they are in the Green Industry or not.

If this collection leads to publication, you can choose to have your name, initials, location (by city), or remain anonymous—whatever you prefer.

For example, one of my most cherished plant memories is of a Pin Oak my father and uncle planted at my aunt and uncle’s home in 1954—the year I was born. I have watched that tree grow for 70 years, standing as a silent witness to countless family gatherings, including Easter Egg Hunts, Birthdays, Weddings, and Celebrations with my 32 first cousins. It holds decades of special memories.
